My Heart is Across the Sea

My older brother, Brett, has always had his heart in the snowy mountains of the West. He could climb and camp and take pictures forever. My parent’s hearts have been on the beach since I can remember. My mom would lay and soak up the breeze, my Dad wildly surfing on the ocean waves. But recently I’ve discovered that my heart isn’t in America. It’s somewhere across the sea…

Right now it’s as if my heart is floating up above the ocean, and I’m just praying and waiting for God to tell me were to land. I don’t even know if this is what He has in His plans for me. But all I know is that if He tells me to stay here in Georgia, I’ll stay. If He tells me to run to South America, I’ll run. If He tells me to fly to Uganda, I’ll fly on the wings of eagles, heeding His call.

“I will go. I will go Lord, send me.” -Starfield
