About Me

Hello dearest readers! Welcome to my bio page, which is now much tidier than my closet. I love to write, and I honestly plan to one day be the next Christopher Paolini or Nancy Yi Fan and publish a novel while I’m still a teenager. (And be on Ellen! She makes me giggle.) I am very moody. Many of my dear friends can attest to this. Heehee:) I am the Georgia state champion at giggling. I laugh at everything. Seriously… one time I feel and scrapped my shin very badly, sat on the ground for a moment, and then began uncontrollably giggling. I also got pegged in the face with a ball while playing soccer at church, and rather than tearing up like I did as a child, I laughed. I sometimes get concerned that I have a pain defect, and then brush the thought off. I get to say, “I laugh in the face of danger!”

I love reading and every three months or so I make a list of books I will read and finish in a particular amount of time. This list is usually the only thing I ever finish or follow through with. I seem to have an inability to finish anything. I took soccer for a week when I was five. I took ballet for six months. I took piano for one month. I started a painting once about four years ago and it now sits under my bed half painted. I suppose it has more to do with what is my passion and what isn’t. I love grammar and books and using big words that are difficult to follow in conversation. When I dream about my future, I see myself owning a bookstore/cafĂ© and writing hit novels in my spare time.

I love daisies. As said in “You’ve Got Mail,” daisies are the friendliest flowers. Coffee, tea, and cherry coke are my favorite drinks. I always have a daily dose of chocolate. While many young girls worship Hannah Montana or the Jonas Brothers, I observe Jane Austen and Audrey Hepburn. Sometimes I pretend we’re all best friends and go to garden parties and they teach me to talk in European accents. I also love candy canes, music that reminds me of summer, the smell of bonfires and burning wood, movies, and kittens. Kittens are adorable creatures. I’m glad God made them.

Through all my little and big quirks, Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. He pulled me out of the angry, awkward girl I used to be, and into the young woman I am becoming. He is my sanctuary and my place of rest. He knows me in and out, and how to bring me to my knees. I am in awe of the things he has done in the past year, and curiously awaiting what He is going to do in my life in 2010.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:1-4
